Why do almost ALL eBay Auto Auctions fail?

Few get relisted. It seems that either most cars are sold ouside eBay (circumventing the feeback mechanism) or get sold locally (making eBay nothing more than an advertisement).

What’s up? It sounds fishy. A dealer can offer a few creampuffs and get great feedback but list most cars with inflated prices only to offer them cheaper outside the confines of eBay. Is this what happens?

Dealers use eBay as an advertisement, not as the only way to sell their cars. If they do sell a car from their lot that is also listed on eBay, AutoTrader or Cars, they have to take the listing down. There is also an idea that every car must get sold if it is listed on eBay. That is very far from the truth. Though alot of cars are sold through them, most dealers don’t sell any.
