Let the buyer beware. These places are full of vehicles that dealerships don’t want. There are some deals to be had, just be care full.

Question by : Question About Auto Auctions?
I am going to a public auto auction for my first car. I was wondering, if I bid on a car and I win the bid, do I have to buy the car or can I put it back up for auction and just not buy it? Like for example, if I bid on a 1996 Buick LeSabre for $ 1000 and win the bid but I start looking through the car at the end and decide that I don’t want it then do I still have to buy it or can I tell them I don’t want the car and not have to pay anything. Also, before we start the bidding, do we get to look through the car and sit in it etc?

At most auctions, your winning bid makes it your car. No change of mind allowed. They have you agree to that when you sign up.
Some of the big auction companies (Manheim …. i don’t work for them) have a policy where they will buy-back the car for 85% of what you paid if you return it quickly.
At dealer auctions, there can be as little as 60 seconds between cars. Public auctions are less frantic. You can walk the lot on the day before the auction.

“The Quality Costs Less Buying Mission”. Only at Ful-line Auto. The most common way to purchase vehicles is through the Auction. ALL dealers get their vehicles from auctions – including NEW car dealers. The biggest difference is the process we use, a way that avoids costly mistakes
