Question by marteha87: Does anyone know of any good and affordable auto auctions in the southern NJ & Philadelphia area?
This is my first car and I really don’t want to spend much more than $ 1,200.00. Someone said the best thing to do is go to a used car auction, but where? are there any locations or sites that anyone would recommend?

Generally, public auto auctions are crap. While there will be a lot of cars that sell for $ 1200 or less, very few are going to be “good” and/or ready to be driven without expensive repairs.
For that reason, unless you are an experienced mechanic, you should probably avoid them.I was a dealer for many years, I could buy from any dealer auction I wanted. I didn’t bother with public auctions.
Most dealers do not.
